My father always maintained several aquariums and introduced me to fish keeping and breeding. I was always tinkering with tanks or outside catching animals. The first books I took out from the library were about fish and amphibians and how to care for and breed them. My dad would have loved seeing how the aquarium and fish keeping hobbies have evolved and how the internet allows access to so many types fish and other aquatic creatures. I can't imagine what he would have thought about freshwater shrimp. He dreamed of breeding and selling fish. I guess he passed that on to me.
