BARCK Aquatics

BARCK Aquatics is based out of Woodinville, WA. With a lifelong passion for keeping fish and some free time in 2019, what started as a renewed interest in the aquarium hobby evolved into BARCK Aquatics. We are a specialty shop focused on caridina shrimp, aquatic plants and mosses, and medaka ricefish.  We started small and have slowly established our breeding program to allow us to share homebred fish and shrimp and assist others in successfully keeping and breeding their fish and shrimp. I'm a DIY enthusiast, and I'll be sharing some of my projects with you. I designed my fish/shrimp room with custom-made racks, and most of my tanks have DIY jet lift tubes that power my DIY Hamburg Matten filters. I designed custom shrimp and medaka decals to help you show off your love for the hobby. My shrimp dine almost exclusively on my homemade food line, which is made almost entirely from things I grow or collect locally. Breeding fish and shrimp takes patience, and I have been working on my medaka and shrimp lines for years. What’s with the name?

We are a family business. BARCK is an acronym containing the first letter of my family's middle names. I copied my wife’s concept when our family was only three. She named her environmental consulting company ARK Environmental.

Research indicates that well-maintained aquatic environments can improve the well-being of both the aquatic life and the enthusiasts who care for them. Therefore, we strive to provide not only products but also knowledge and support to our customers.

In addition to our aquatic offerings, we provide thoughtful gifts, including gift cards, allowing enthusiasts to share their passion for medaka and shrimp with friends and family. Our goal is to foster a community of aquarists who appreciate the beauty and complexity of aquatic ecosystems.
