Koi Japanese Ricefish (Medaka), bred in the US. The fish are freshwater, cold and warm water hardy, and peaceful, making them suitable for beginners. The product is of high quality and is ideal for those looking to start breeding medaka. I have been breeding these in the USA for about 6 years.
This line is based on Kohaku: Bi-color (Red/Orange and White). Selectively bred to emulate the striking patterns of traditional Nishikigoi (Koi carp), these miniature beauties feature bold, contrasting patches of color that look absolutely spectacular when viewed from above in a patio pond or indoor tub.

I ordered the group of 25+ koi medaka eggs. Placed the order on a Tuesday and received them Friday that same week even though I’m on the opposite coast in Virginia. The eggs arrived safely and were transferred into a hatching tank. I can already see two little eye spots in some of the eggs, so I guess temperatures on the way here were favorable and it’s a viable batch! This will be a new experience for me, hatching from shipped eggs and I’m very pleased to see things are off to a quality start.
